Red Carpet looks for your Wedding

Posted by ryansammy on March 1, 2010

Beautiful white dresses seemed to be the trend with many celebrities this year. Take a look at the top five celebrity gowns from last year listed below and mimic the look for your own wedding. If you like more than one look, combine the fashion styles and construct your own red carpet worthy dress for your special day.

Leighton Meester

We all know her and we all love her. The star of Gossip Girl is always stunning at every event she attends. She is known for her designer clothes not only from the role she places as Blaire Waldorf on the hit show Gossip Girls but also from every photo she has taken of her. The beautiful actress has impressed again in her elegant white dress she showed up in for the Emmy Awards. She had bright red lips to really accentuate the look. Take note of the sexy V-neck and bunched up fabric at the shoulders to give the dress a unique appearance.

Marisa Tomei

This 44-year-old bomb shell never seems to age. She pulls off the natural look marvelously. The dress she wore to the 2009 Oscars this year probably would have caught everyone’s eye, no matter who was wearing it. It was a Versace gown with a long train. The color was a warmer white and in addition to the pleats on the bottom of the dress, the top was very form fitting with just one strap. It is a very sexy but classic look. Wedding favors play an important part in any wedding but great jewelry can add the final touches to the perfect dress. Marisa Tomei is wearing jewels by Van Cleef and Arpels.

Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel wore Prada and pulled off a more simplistic look best suited for soft features. A loosely tossed hairdo with pieces falling onto the shoulders looks great with a strapless dress.

Penelope Cruz

This is another actress who can always expect to look strikingly elegant. She also wore a strapless dress but chose to wear her hair up. The wedding hairdo will really depend on accessories in addition to the style of the dress. Cruz wanted to show off her necklace and stud earrings which really fulfill the ball gown like fashion statement. The texture of the dress resembles a vintage gown often worn in the fifties.

Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood The last dress combines two key features as seen above. The dress is strapless but also incorporates a small V shape for a little more sex appeal. This style is recommended for women with smaller chests sizes. The Elie Saab design hugs the upper half of the body and begins to loosen and eventually flow loosely at the bottom. The chandelier earrings are by Neil Lane. The jewelry accents the dress nicely here creating an all around sophisticated look.
