One thing to keep in mind when shopping for sunglasses – or for any accessory for that matter – is versatility.

You wouldn’t want to spend hard money on a pair of shades that is too extravagant to wear to work or too boring to wear on vacation. You want sunglasses that go with anything and that enhance your natural beauty, while also adding a pop of color to your outfit.

Kate Spade has one of the best sunglass collections. Their eyewear is affordable, yet it’s designer!

This guarantees that the lenses are highly protective against UV rays, that the materials used are of good quality and that they’re sturdy. Plus, their quirky designs are a girl’s best friends!

We picked a pair of Kate Spade Albertine/s sunglasses in tortoise fuchsia, a funky and bold color that is perfect for summer. They’re full rim, round shaped, and with metallic arms, which makes them suitable for a variety of face shapes and skin tones. We styled the sunglasses four different ways, so you can pick your favorite easily.

1. Romantic

For a romantic summer look, pick neutral tones – nude is especially lovely, since it doesn’t attract sunlight. You can go for a shirt dress with a pleated skirt (House of Fraser) and lace flats (Chinese Laundry). To keep the color palette, pick a nude leather bag (Vila) and then go wild with shades of pink: a big set of bangles (Oasis) for the proper arm party, rosey stud earrings (Modcloth) and one or more large rings (Aldo). Don’t forget your Kate Spade sunglasses for maximum effect!

2. Edgy

If edgy is more your style, then count on black and metallic insertions. We picked a leather skirt with an elastic waist (Mango), a sporty-cool sweatshirt with studs at the shoulders (Topshop) and a pair of heeled ankle booties (We like fashion) for contrast. The accessories are in the same tone: an animal print clutch (Endless), spike hoop earrings (Miss Selfridge), a pyramid casted ring (Wet Seal) and, of course, the round Kate Spade sunglasses.

3. Preppy

You’ll be comfortable and chic in a preppy ensemble. Just pick out a pair of fun shorts (J Crew) and a sleeveless button down (Topshop), and match them with a pair of flat loafers (Madewell). Against the sun, a straw hat (Eugenia Kim) and the Kate Spade sunglasses will make a great team. Pick a satchel-style bag (Debenhams) to carry your stuff and finish with a discreet necklace (Endless).

4. Sporty

For everyday wear, running errands or grocery shopping, sporty style is the best choice. We liked the gray gold shorts (Nike) with a navy tank top (Reiss) and red canvas sneakers (Converse). To accessorize, you could try a wraparound watch (Swatch) and bucket bag (Fred Perry) and a charm necklace with your favorite sports (Yael & Tal).
