Red Chair Confessions Revealed

So have you been following Red Chair Confessions since I blogged about the video blog last week? I was actually sad to see the series come to an end as I was enjoying the anticipation of what was to be revealed in the videos.

The last video shown above reveals what the gal’s secret addiction is – Talbots! Here it was a viral campaign advertisement! Who knew? I seriously thought it was going to be a “thing” addiction, not a “place” addiction.

And I didn’t realize is was an “advertisment”. As someone who originally went to college to be a commercial artist, I can’t believe I didn’t fall for it. But no wonder I enjoyed the videos so much. What a brilliant ad campaign!

So, of course, I know had to head on over to Talbots’ website to check them out (so their ad worked), and I was pleasantly surprised to see they are changing their image to be more hip, modern, and the best part – affordable! Talbots is no longer a store for crotchety old ladies anymore!

In fact, according to “As Seen In” section, First Lady Michelle Obama has been spotted several times wearing Talbots dresses! And I fell in love with the Shoes section instantly! I couldn’t find one pair of shoes that I didn’t want!

Okay, I’m getting addicted to the Red Chair Confessions Video Blog! It’s a weekly video cast that’s been keeping me in suspense as to what the gal in the video’s true confession is! The minute and a half long videos suggest (to me anyway) that her secret is something “dirty”. Something tells me that in the end, it’s going to be something funny, like having a shoe addiction!

In the first video entitled “Forgive Me Father”, the gal confesses to a priest in church in a confessional booth. The second video entitled “Therapeutic?” (as seen above) she confesses to a therapist that she’s had a relapse. The third video entitled “Mamma’s Little Secret” was just released today where she tapes a self-confession video in her closet.

I’m presuming several more episodes will debut as the introduction on the site show various people that would be confidants, such as a Friends, Bartender, Shrink, Personal Assistant, Taxi Driver, Physic Hotline, Mom, Hairdresser, etc. I think another good confidant would be a pet, like a dog.  Even though I hate dogs, I think it would be a good angle on the show.
