Well-regarded fashion designer and former Austro-Italian princess Diane von Fürstenberg became a powerful fashion icon in the 70s when she created the influential ‘wrap dress’, an example of which hangs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian Institute (source). The popular design, which began a women’s fashion trend due to its revolutionary versatility, is notable for its dual status as comfortable business wear and elegant evening dress.

Diane’s son, Alexander von Furstenberg (Alex), is a partner and director in the Diane von Furstenberg Studio, which is now known globally as a luxury lifestyle brand among the rich and famous. Alex took the company from $1 in annual revenue to more than $200 million. Wow. Alex is also a co-managing member and chief investment office of Arrow Capital Management, LLC.
