Old or young, chubby or skinny, women will always find something to be dissatisfied with – whether it’s their current hair color, the two extra pounds they’ve put on during holidays, their body shape or, well, the fact that dress looks better on her frenemy than her. Luckily for all the women out there, there’s always a remedy for all of the satisfactions we may encounter, a way into making us feel better about ourselves in just a few steps – whether that be a hair colorist appointment, a day at the spa, a new piece of jewelry, a re-read of our favorite book, or a piece of lingerie that will make all the difference.
It is no secret that women are largely objectified; unfortunately, this social fact has a huge subliminal impact on women’s self-respect and her projection of who she is and isn’t. No matter how gorgeous she looks, she’ll always think there is something she needs to change about herself to please the crowd. In addition, throw celebrity-role models into the mix (let’s face it – these women look like dolls due to enormous amounts of money and help they get to look the way they do) and you’ll get a bitter woman, dissatisfied.
Well, girls – we say drop that attitude immediately and embrace everything you are! As Mr John Legend would put it – “love your curves and all your edges, all your perfect imperfections”… we couldn’t agree more!
For a confident, strong woman every piece of clothing is a statement, not a crowd-pleasure; every piece of jewelry is a reward to herself; every hour spent at the gym is her stepping stone to be an even better version of herself and every dress that fits perfectly – is sole proof she is stunning!
Speaking of every garment fitting perfectly – don’t be tricked into thinking your role model celebrities are better than you. What they’ve been practicing, and practicing for years and on, is the magic touch of shapewear lingerie; do you really think Kim Kardashian’s hips and derriere look the way they do without shapewear? She’s even openly admitted she sometimes wears a double pair of undergarments for the clothes to fit the way she’s envisioned. You know who else? Gwyneth Paltrow! Beyonce, Sofia Vergara, Khloe Kardashian, JLo, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, and Blake Lively, to name a few, have all hopped on the body shaper and they are loving it (and looking super tight, btw!) – so why wouldn’t you, as well?
Properly chosen undergarments will give you the shape you desire, they will flatten out bumps you don’t like, emphasize your gorgeous curves and, above all, they will make you feel sexier than ever! After talking to some of the best designers of shapewear in the business, our favorite is Leonisa – known for its high quality and indescribable skill to shape a woman’s body with its design, we are giving you some pretty amazing convincers as to why to join the rest of the women out there and own your own pair of spanx!
What does shapewear do?
Any form of body shaper “attacks” the part of the body you are not comfortable with and re-shapes it instantly, by simply putting on a pair of spanx. For instance, if your thighs have cellulite bumps (most of us have them, don’t worry), a right-sized body shaper will smooth those bumps out and give you an amazing shape! Pencil skirts, jeans, dresses, you name it – will look perfect on you! The key though? Pick the right size!
Which parts of the body can I shape with Spanx?
The tummy, waist, thighs and hips are most problematic areas for a woman, which is why a well-fitted body shaper will make all the difference.

Is it endangering my health?
Absolutely not. Unlike corsets in the Victorian era that damaged lady’s spine, bowel position/digestion and breathing, shapewear is a form of lingerie, extremely comfortable and made of materials pleasant to the skin. They are also fantastically comfortable, to a point you may even work out in them.
So girls, what do you say?
