Even though there are many people who love to fully embrace the hair that grows wildly from their bodies, most people prefer a smooth exterior. There are many ways to get rid of unwanted body hair.
Depending on what your comfort level is, you can choose an option that works best for you. Just like there are different techniques for getting rid of unwanted facial hair, the same applies to the body. Check out these four strategies and see if any pique your interest.
Threading is an ancient technique that was birthed in Turkey and made its way to the continent of Asia in countries such as Indian. Now, there are many threading boutiques all over North America.
This technique is excellent for anyone looking to avoid ingrown hairs and the hair is removed without the use of sharp tools. Threading does have a little discomfort associated with it. However, depending on your pain threshold, this might be the mildest route to take.
Waxing is another popular form of hair removal. There are also different types of wax to use. Two of the most popular types of waxing are hard wax and soft wax. For the standard wax that is done in many boutiques, the wax is heated up to high temperatures.
It’s placed on the specific area that needs waxing. Once the area is coated, an esthetician applies a wax strip on top of the waxed area. After the strip is firmly in place, the strip is quickly ripped off. As the hair is ripped off, this process can be incredibly painful. Thankfully, the process is quick and only needs to be applied every few weeks.
3. Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is the most comfortable way to remove hair from the skin. It’s usually a painless process. If clients feel any pain, it’s usually minor and dull in comparison to waxing or threading.
Laser hair removal usually requires between three to six treatments to completely remove the hair. However, once the hair gets removed, it doesn’t grow back ever again. This process should not be completed at home. This is only done by professionals at places.
Shaving is a hair removal technique most people get introduced to first. Whether you’ve used a disposable plastic razor or a high-end razor with removable blades, most people have tried shaving.
In order to shave, it’s good to get the skin wet and lather shaving cream on top. Once that’s completed, the razor carefully goes on top and removes the protruding hairs at the skin’s surface. With shaving, hair usually grows back thicker and faster. Yet, it’s a quick, easy, and painless way to remove hair.
It’s up to you to choose which method you’d like to choose. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages. However, each of these methods is effective and that’s what’s most important!
