If you’re not a “morning person,” it can be tough to sacrifice sleep-time for beauty-time. However, you do not have to spend two hours getting ready each morning to look beautiful. In fact, if you use your time wisely, you can quickly get dolled up in just 20 minutes. If you wake up late, or just want to spend less time getting ready, that doesn’t mean you have to settle for wearing sweats and having ratted, greasy hair all day. Here are a few little tricks for speeding up your morning routine and still looking fabulous.
In This Post:
Skip the Shower – Use Dry Shampoo
Showering, washing, drying, and styling your hair can take a lot of time. If you are pressed for time, you can just apply dry shampoo to your roots to get rid of any grease or frizz. Dry shampoo will freshen up your hair and give it a lot more volume without having to take the time to get in the shower and wash it. A great one to try is Batiste Dry Shampoo. Applying dry shampoo to your hair will only take a minute, and if your hair gets greasy easily, this is the perfect way to cut down on time you would spend showering, but still help your hair look fresh and fabulous.
Use Tinted Moisturizer Instead of Foundation
If you’re in a hurry, putting on foundation and getting it perfectly blended takes too much time. If you use a tinted moisturizer, you do not have to apply a moisturizer beforehand or do too much blending. A tinted moisturizer is really easy to blend, so you should be able to apply it to your face in two minutes or less. This will give your face a perfect glow, keep your skin from drying out, and save time that you would have spent trying to blend your foundation on every nook and cranny of your face.
Use the Same Product on Your Cheeks, Lips and Eyes
Instead of using a dozen products, you can still achieve a good look if you use just one product on your cheeks, lips and eyes. It will take you less than five minutes to swipe this product over your cheeks, lips and eyes. A great product to try is NARS the Multiple. This product comes in several different colors and can give you a monochromatic look. You can buy NARS the Multiple at Sephora.
Pre-Pasted Disposable Toothbrushes
Sometimes when you’re running late, every minute and second counts. For mornings when you’re short on time, keep a package of pre-pasted disposable toothbrushes on hand. Rip open the package, apply a little water, and brush your teeth as you run out the door, drive to work, or even in the bathroom at school. Then, toss the toothbrush when you’re done and enjoy your clean teeth and fresh breath.
Fill In Your Eyebrows With a Colored Brow Mascara
Filling in your eyebrows can make them look fuller and more attractive. However, using eyebrow pencils and powders can be very time consuming. A colored brow mascara is what you want to use. All you have to do is swipe the mascara over your brows to make them look fuller. This will just take you seconds, and you’ll have full, luscious brows without all the work.
As you can see, it is very possible to get ready in 20 minutes, whether you slept through your alarm, or you just don’t want to spend hours getting ready. Once you get used to your quicker routine, you’ll be able to get ready in no time at all. No need to choose between sleep and beauty—you can have the best of both worlds with these sneaky morning beauty tricks.
