There are plenty of readings on fashion dos and don’ts — of what to wear and what not to wear, of how to style your hair and how not to style your hair, of which shoes to buy and which ones not to buy, and the list goes on. But since I’m no fashion guru, I won’t be able to tell you the dos and don’ts of fashion. What I’m going to do is present to you instead the ins and the outs in fashion today. Well not really, more like the Top 1 In and Out in fashion today.
You Won’t Believe It
The moment I found out about this fashion trend, I simply couldn’t resist writing about it. So instead of writing a list of Top 10 Ins and Outs in fashion I think I would go right ahead and discuss the Top 1 In and Out in fashion happening right now. Alright, so it here it goes. The first one, on top of list In in fashion today, I couldn’t believe as well — the Pajamas!
What? Did I write it down right? Yes folks, the Pajamas. In are the pajamas and out goes those thigh hugging leggings and spandex type jeans that are so tight you have to walk sideways just to get up and down a flight of stairs. Pajamas are in — loose, comfortable, and casual.
I’ve just barely gotten over the flip flops trend, wherein twenty years ago you wouldn’t even be caught dead wearing them, and suddenly everyone wears a pair of flip flops everywhere they go. I simply just didn’t get into that trend. I’m sort of the ankle boots kind of gal.
And now pajamas — call me old fashioned, but I grew up at a time when pajamas were not even fit to wear in the living room. Well oh yeah, you’ll see me wearing tank tops and shorts during summer, but pajamas for outdoors? Pajamas were for the bedroom, and that was it. I guess the reign of reality television shows with reality stars being seen in their pajamas must have kicked off this trend.
But come to think of it, pajamas can be sexy, there are stylishly designed pajamas that look fabulous enough to wear to events and special occasions. So I guess that’s how really fashion evolves, either fashion adapts to people, or people adopt fashion, or both. I wonder what would be next.
