With the Fourth of July long weekend coming up, I set out to find the perfect picnic outfit to wear at Sears.  The problem was that I fell in love with lots of “perfect outfits” and got distracted finding several other clothing pieces that I needed! But before I tell you all about them, first let me take a selfie

Being the self-appointed President of Shoeaholics Anonymous, I first got distracted by the shoes.

Sequined boat shoes are all the rage according to my teenage daughters. I fell in love with these Bongo Bayside Boat Shoes (that come in an array of other color combos as well), and I loved the price even more!

And since I’m taking water aerobics, these Bongo water shoes were calling my name.

These Metaphor Alexa sexy sandals had my mouth drooling. And I love that the the ankle strap is elastic and not a buckle which makes them faster and easier to get on and off.

Ok, these red Bongo Prepster casual canvas shoes are definitely looking patriotic, so I’m on the right track now to be patriotic.

I finally made it to the Junior section. When did cute overalls come back in style? These Bongo Jean Shortalls were definitely cute, but I think I’m a tad too old mature to wear them. But I loved the Disney Junior’s Mickey Mouse Striped Tee that I tried on underneath the short overalls.

In fact, I decided that this Mickey Mickey and Minnie Mouse shirt with the American flag in the shape of a heart was the perfect shirt for me to wear on Independence Day. But I wasn’t done shopping by far.

I also decided I needed a new dress. And this Danny & Nicole Chevron dress was on clearance (I should’ve put on the cardigan that came it with to cover up my flabby arms. Isn’t water aerobics supposed to help with that?)  The weather around here has been unusually rainy, hence the umbrella. Hey, it matches the dress!

I also ended up buying this super cute Bongo Chiffon Cold-Shoulder Top which I ended up pairing with black walking shorts and black sandals. And you can see I got a tad sunburned!
