Your face is your billboard to the world. The contact element that either makes a lasting impression or a fleeting memory. Body confidence is related to how you feel. If you are looking haggard and tired then it’s likely to impact on your mood. Stress cannot be prevented entirely but its contamination of the body and aging effect can at least be eliminated, with no need for drastic and often invasive surgical procedures.
Sweat like a beast
Getting into a mental frame of how to get rid of stress, is a way for you to acknowledge that stress is having a detrimental effect on your well-being. The physiological effects can be long term, but the solution, on paper seems relatively easy. Sweat your problems away with a home steamer if going to your local spa may be too costly. This is only ten minutes of your time that gives you more than just mental relief. A complete solution can also be 20 mins of exercise to get the ‘edge’ off and induce the sweating that benefits your heart and longevity.
Get beauty sleep
It cannot be stressed enough that sleep is important, but this can often be difficult if you are in the grips of a stressful situation. Say goodbye to tired looking skin and puffy eyes, by taking control of your sleep.
Put your tech and gadgets and getting back to paperback reading. Combine this with a nice soothing, sleep-inducing tea like chamomile or even dill seeds and drift off to dreamland.
The hydration oasis
Imagine your stomach to be like a desert where you can grow whatever you want. Stress is your desert storm that lets you grab for cover in the way of sugary quick fixes. The effect is that your skin breaks out and looks lackluster. Time to boost your oasis and have the type of tranquility you need. Drink plenty of water to replenish the toxin-filled sweat. Power up your beast mode by eating foods that help to improve your mood and energy levels. These act as your armor when combating stress.
Let the little things go
Practising and finding ways to incorporate meditation can prove to be the right path. Learning to let go of the little things that can compound your stress will be beneficial. Everytime you experience an upset, go to the mirror and see what your face looks like.
If you are frowning, ask yourself if having one more wrinkle is worth the trouble of something so small? This does more than just improve your mood, it brings awareness of how insignificant incidents can be costly to your look. Now isn’t it better for you to let them go and give more fuel to positive energy?
